What is Kids Dentistry?

Kids Dentistry, also known as Pediatric Dentistry, is the branch of dentistry that is dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years (Adolescence).

Why is Kids Dentistry so Important?

Children begin to get their baby teeth during the first 6 months of life. By age 6 or 7 years, they start to lose their first set of teeth, commonly known as Milk Teeth, which eventually are replaced by secondary, permanent teeth.

Without proper dental care, children face possible oral decay and disease that can cause a lifetime of pain and complications. Today, early childhood dental caries are more common in children than asthma and hay fever.

Our Pediatric Treatment Includes

    • Infant oral health exams.
    • Preventive dental care including cleaning and fluoride treatments.
    • Habit counseling, such as thumb sucking and pacifier use.
    • Treatment and assessment on teeth straightening and correcting an inappropriate bite.
    • Repairing of tooth cavity and decay.
    • Diagnosis of oral conditions associated with different types of diseases.
    • Care for dental injuries, like, fractured, displaced, or knocked-out teeth.

Narayana Dental: Providing Homelike Care to your Child

Many people think that children are safe from dental or oral diseases; children are not exempted from these problems. And because they are children, they tend to rely on the adults to help them out. And as an adult, you can help by teaching and making them develop a good oral hygiene routine which they will carry once they are grown-ups.

Start by teaching them how to brush their teeth, and also make sure that they should be constantly reminded of how frequently they should be doing it.

And of course, you are the one who is going to decide when to take them to a pediatric dentist. So when you do, always remember that we, Narayana Dental, know what is best for your child’s oral health.
